In the Beginning

“In the Beginning” is an appropriate selection for a Christmas program or Cantata.  This song establishes that Jesus Christ has been with God from the very beginning of time.  The words are based on the first chapter in the Gospel of John.

“In the beginning of time was the Word of God, and the Word was with God…”  to make the point very clear, the lyrics go on to say, “and the Word was Jesus Christ!…”
